Position Overview
The Installation Lead position will interface with the vendor (Wall Street
Systems) as well as the infrastructure and database IT teams. The individual
will successfully design the appropriate technical architecture of the Wall
Street Suite products and ensure the solution is reliable and scalable and will
meet the performance requirements based on the transaction volume estimates.
The individual will also be responsible for the installation and technical
configuration of the Wall Street Suite software, including major releases,
minor releases and hot fixes. The ideal applicant will have relevant experience
with the design, installation and configuration of highly complex financial
services software.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with the vendor to understand their release strategy and develop a plan
for release strategy
2. Interface with IT infrastructure and database teams in the design of the
hardware infrastructure and database configuration strategy
3. Install/upgrade the appropriate vendor software modules in a multiple
instance / multiple platform environment
4. Effectively manage issues with the vendor software or installation process
and drive solutions in a timely manner
5. Configure the necessary application services and integration processes
6. Ensure operating on a vendor supported technology stack for operating
system, application server and database management
7. Design and implement the necessary monitoring tools to ensure effective
application infrastructure oversight
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Previous experience in a Technical Analyst role in IT.
2. Solid understanding of IT systems and processes
3. Clear thinker with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication
skills
4. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and
work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
5. Previous experience in the installation, configuration and maintenance of
very complex, cross platform financial software; ERP expertise a plus
6. Excellent understanding of SDLC methodology
7. Strong knowledge of IT systems, tools and technologies.
8. Experience in a large systems implementation project is a plus.
9. Excellent knowledge of UNIX (Solaris preferred) and Windows
10. Solid understanding of Oracle
11. 5 - 7 years experience |
