DH1 - Director, Hosting Operations and I.T.
The Director of Hosting Operations and I.T. is responsible for strategic and
tactical management of hosted technical environments, which includes the
following areas:
System infrastructure
Systems architecture and operations of the Workday production data centers
Development and deployment of business applications
Conceptualization, planning, evaluation and deployment of technology
platforms within the company.
The ideal candidate will develop and manage a Technology Strategic Plan, which
will ensure that the company is positioned to grow, able to seize new
opportunities, and provide exceptional service to its customers. This position
will provide technology vision both for the hosted operations and internal IT.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain an enterprise-level secure, high availability customer
hosting operation center.
Collaborate with the Product Development organization in delivering a
scalable, operationally efficient, hosted architecture.
Develop and maintain an enterprise-level perspective of Customer data,
processes, practices, and goals, and a vision of how technology can most
effectively secure this data.
Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and
coordination of the information and technology systems of Workday.
Collaborate with all Company departments to acquire and promote awareness of
technology, information, and communication needs.
Stay current and maintain knowledge of trends, emerging technologies, and
information systems development, and determine their potential utility for the
Company.
Manage the Companys technology expense and capital budgets, evaluate needs,
conduct cost and productivity analyses, and determine technology priorities to
effectively and efficiently utilize technology revenue.
Provide leadership and direction for information security, database
management, networking, voice and video communications, website development and
user support.
Determine, formulate and administer relevant IT and management policies and
practices.
Foster and promote a service provider attitude within Hosting/I.T. staff.
Effectively present the architecture and hosting model to customers and sales
prospects as necessary.
Hire, evaluate, mentor, and manage staff.
Perform other duties as new opportunities arise and as assigned.
Qualifications / Required Skills:
Minimum of 10 years in Information Technology with progressive management
responsibility within the software development industry.
Experience in managing production data centers for large scale e-commerce
websites or SaaS providers.
Experience must demonstrate ability to develop and cultivate a geographically
dispersed technology organization.
Must have a proven track record of leadership in attracting, developing and
retaining talented staff who deliver results.
Should have experience in the development of an integrated IT architecture to
support future growth.
Must be able to lead technology evaluation and deployment efforts.
Must be experienced managing a highly technical and expanding staff.
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Management. |
